Problems to Catalyze Aquaculture Innovation

Great solutions appear because someone has a problem. Perhaps the best justification for this sweeping statement appears in the familiar phrase “necessity is the mother of invention.”

We would like to encourage you to provide information about the problems you face in finfish aquaculture. By making problems more widely known we are promoting the potential that one of our readers will take the time to communicate potential capabilities or solutions to help create a solution.

The clear articulation of such problems will also assist us to promote the relevance and importance of our innovation roadmapping effort. The potential to connect a problem and a solution depends a great deal on the clarity with which the problem is described.

We have attempted to to identify problems as a starting point for recognising productivity transforming innovations that could be the focus of the finfish.org community of interest. We will collect links on problem identification here.

We will progressively collect links to our problem identification posts in this place, so you might care to check back later to see how our list develops.

We would welcome your input on problems that you are facing …
